New NCC diploma course set to launch in August
For the first time ever, NCC Education's International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IAD) will be offered online at PurpleTrain.
Available exclusively online only through PurpleTrain.com, this highly popular one-year diploma course prepares students for a career in systems analysis and design, systems development, technical training and support.
"This diploma offers worldwide recognition to its graduates. NCC is one of the world's leading independent IT training organisation, it promotes standards in computing particularly in connection with the education of professional programmes and systems analysis. We feel that a graduate in this program would stand in good stead whether it be in the working world or pursuing a degree course, said Mr Raj Singh, Assistant Director, PurpleTrain.com.
NCC is a Manchester, UK-based national centre for Information Technology. It is an establishment with strong links to the government and information technology industry in the UK.
Added Mr Singh: " With over 150,000 students assessed to NCC standards each year, a student signing up for the program is assured of the quality of the teaching. The recognition for a NCC-endorsed course such as this is high, we are proud to be the first to offer this online"
NCC Education also operates with, and through, over 300 accredited training partners in 30 different countries. It is one of the world's largest providers of vendor-neutral IT skills certification programmes.
As the course is equivalent to the second year of the BSc (Hons) in Computing and Information Systems, graduates of this course are also often offered exemptions from second-year degree courses from universities around the world.
The IAD course will be conducted entirely online. Lecture notes posted online will be supplemented by interaction with other students through on-line chats, discussion rooms and private emails.
PurpleTrain also functions as a comprehensive study management tool. Chatroom logs and records of topics brought up in the discussion rooms are kept for students' reference. The system also prompts a student on what the last topic studied was as well as sends reminders if a student hasn't logged on for a while.
