All PurpleTrain Sales Centres to meet minimum standards
All centres selling PurpleTrain products will now be designated as Authorised
Service Centres (ASCs). And to achieve the status, they will have to meet the
minimum guidelines that have been laid done.
Said Dr Wong Tai, Chairman & CEO, PurpleTrain.com : " This is to ensure that
certain minimum standards are maintained at the centres selling our products.
PurpleTrain's main products are online courses. For ASCs to sell such products
effectively, they must of course know the product well.
" But in order to be truly effective in selling an e-learning course to a
customer, the centres must also understand the mode of delivery. How do you make
a convincing case to customers if you are not even wired yourself! "
The requirements that have been laid down are:
- Course consultants selling PurpleTrain products must have access to an ISP
connection at the counter.
- PCs at counters must have minimum specifications that allow for internet
access.
- Course consultants and country managers have to attend weekly chat sessions
with the PurpleTrain Sales Manager.
- Centres must print and have available all product-related brochures.
Centres meeting the minimum requirements will be given PurpleTrain collateral
such as poster, stickers and accreditation certificates to showcase their
readiness to sell PurpleTrain products.
The status of the centres will be reviewed on a three-monthly basis. Course
consultants and centre managers will be tested on an ad hoc basis to determine
their knowledge of PurpleTrain products as well as their familiarity with the
selling procedures.
Said Ms May Soh, Group Executive Director, Singapore Domestic Operations,
Informatics Holdings, " It is a good idea to have the minimum requirements, as
it ensures minimum standards. However, we have already moved beyond that here.
" Our track record shows that everyone here, from the frontline course
consultants and centre managers right up to top management have made a
commitment to go beyond just implementing the bare minimum."
