As part of our continual efforts to improve the sales and marketing training to all of you at the Authorised Service Centres, we will be introducing a virtual sales training starting from today.

Besides knowing all about the numerous benefits of e-learning, like anytime, anywhere access and learning, own pace and time, no attendance of classes, it is also vital that you are familiar with the navigation and functions within the students' interface.

This virtual sales training is designed to provide you with hands-on experience on all the Internet facilities that the students will be using online at PurpleTrain.com. This will assist greatly in helping you answer any queries that students may encounter online, particularly those students who are not Net-savvy enough.

ONLINE CHAT
Commonly known as a chat room, this unique facility gives students the opportunity to speak and interact with the lecturer "live" in a synchronous mode discussion, similar to the IRC and ICQ chats available on the web. Students can log in and post their questions and get an immediate response from the facilitators. However although this is an excellent communication medium it still requires our valuable students to log in at a fixed time to speak to the facilitators. However, this may be disruptive to some students' working schedule, therefore we strongly advise that students fully utilize the discussion room to ask whatever academic questions they may have. This would also give the facilitator more time to ponder over your questions and give a more comprehensive answer to the questions asked.

VIEW CHAT LOGS
All chat logs are recorded and saved in this facility, so you can refer to old records of previous chats.

DISCUSSION ROOM
Here students are given the ability to post questions to the facilitators on any academic area in the modules. You can post the question 24 hours a day, at anytime from anywhere and you will receive a respond from your facilitator within 24 hours, irrespective or your physical location. In order words, you can be on vacation in America and wish to post a question and all you need to do is to log in the next day and your answer is right in front of you.

Therefore, you no longer need to wait for the next physical contact with your facilitator, or to wait for the chat timings, so all you need to do is to post it in the discussion room. Explaining via the discussion room allows students to receive clearer definitions as well as examples to their questions and this will benefit all students when it come to understand different concepts and methodologies. Furthermore this facility gives the students total control of their time and are not restricted by the chat timings. Without the face-to-face contact, students are also less shy and less apprehensive about asking questions.

PRIVATE MAIL
This works like a normal email facility and it allows mails to be sent among the students, the facilitators and the consultants. Especially useful for more personal matters and it can be posted from anywhere at anytime.

CONTENTS
Within this, you will find a range of highly useful and informative articles that will greatly benefit your understanding of e-learning and the latest news on PurpleTrain.com. This will definitely equip you with added knowledge to handle the students.
On the other hand, the students will have a different set of contents. In here, the students gain access to the study guides online.

COMPILE
This facility allows students to print out selected topics within the study guide in Contents.

RESUME SESSION
Through this, students can bookmark their readings and progress within the Contents facility.
