First MBA Course On PurpleTrain!

PurpleTrain.com is proud to announce the launch of its first online MBA (Masters of Business Administration) course, awarded by the renowned University of Surrey, Guildford UK.

The MBA is widely recognised as the most appropriate educational qualification for future senior managers and executives, and will open the gateway for many degree holders into areas of industry, commerce, public-service and other industries.

The University of Surrey is one of the UK's leading professional, scientific and technological university with a world-class research profile and a reputation for excellence in teaching and learning. Currently, the University's successful postgraduate business school has over 800 students of which half are based overseas utilising e-learning and distance learning methods.

The overall objective of Surrey's MBA is to develop analytical abilities using concepts derived from a wide range of academic disciplines, directed towards business problem-solving in an international environment.

This 30-month online MBA course is designed for individuals with a first degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years' professional work experience. Non-graduates with at least 6 years' professional work experience may also be admitted. This course is open only to Singapore and Hong Kong students.

A FREE laptop (Toshiba Satellite 1670CDS with internal 56k modem), loaded with innovative CourseWare as a medium for providing teaching support materials in electronic form, will be provided to all students. Students can contact their facilitators and maximise the online learning experience through the self-directed course materials, forums and chat communities where students can participate in live online lectures or business conferences.

This 30-month programme requires that six core modules, two focus modules and a dissertation are completed. Each module is about 12-15 weeks in duration. The course modules are as follows:
