The Pre-Test
is designed to help students determine their strengths and weaknesses
by testing their English ability in 12 areas of Listening, structure and
grammar, and reading. Using the students' answers, the Guided TOEFL Trainer
creates an individualized lesson plan tailored to the students' abilities,
thus providing a totally personalized learning experience. The Pre-test
score determines the content of each daily lesson and the level of difficulty.
Based
on the student's strength and weakness as determined by the Pre-test,
the one-hour Daily Lessons cover 29 categories of the English language
that related to the areas evaluated by the actual TOEFL, and draws from
a database of more than 7500 questions and 16 hrs of audio. Full explanations
with answers, automatic scoring, daily progress reports, detailed tips,
the log-on summary of overall progress are included. 
The third
part of the Guided TOEFL Trainer is a Mid-term, which students take after
their twelfth lesson. The mid-term recalibrates the level of all questions
for the last set of 12 lessons and creates a freshly tailored lesson plan.
As each student experiences a different speed of improvement in the first
twelve lessons, this Mid-Term ensures that the second half of the course
continues to target each student's strength and weaknesses. 
The fourth
part of the GTT is a second set of twelve one-hour lessons based on the
results of the mid-term, focusing on a student's weakest areas first.
For sections where students are not succeeding (example: use of verbs),
questions are repeated and practiced before students receive new and harder
questions. 
Like
the actual TOEFL Test, the Post-Test (and fifth part of the Guided TOEFL
Trainer) is divided into three sections with specific instructions for
each section. Upon completing the Post-test, students receive their scores
and are able to review answers as well as compare their Pre- and Post-Test
scores. Students wishing to re-enroll in another 30 days TOEFL Trainer
can proceed directly into the next 30 day Trainer, with the results of
their Post-Test when the basis for the tailored lessons in their next
30 day session.
