Take Advantage of the Market Demand,
Take International Certificate in Computer Studies

Are you bored with your job? Looking for a career change? Wishing to embark on an IT related profession but hesitated about your own ability?

Hesitate no more! PurpleTrain.com has the right fit for you. The International Certificate in Computer Studies (ICCS) awarded by the NCC Education is an excellent course for anyone, from school-leavers to working adults wishing to change their career. This programme exposes learners to a broad area of topics relating to the use of Information Technology in business.

This ICCS programme is especially ideal for those who have no IT qualifications or experience as well as those with basic ability as there are no entry requirements needed for the course.

The objectives of the course are:

  • To deliver well trained people with effective and practical business oriented IT skills capable of making a real contribution in the workplace.
  • To deliver well-trained people capable of taking the NCC International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS).
  • To establish an international standard of high quality training leading to universally recognised qualification.

Programme Structure

The qualification consists of five (5) compulsory modules. Each module is delivered over six (6) weeks. Candidates can complete the programme in six (6) months.

Updated ICCS

Following an intensive six-month research and development process, NCC through PurpleTrain will be launching the updated International Certificate in Computer Studies (ICCS) effective April 2002. The ICCS Version 2.0 while continuing to maintain its international standard, is a course that meets the needs of today’s learners and employers.

Simplified Student Registration

Many education programmes require a great deal of administrative support, especially regarding student registration and assessment marking.

The ICCS Version 2.0 reduces this workload by revising the student registration and assessment processes. The new version not only reduces the number of assessments taken by ICCS students but also provided an updated automated multiple-choice exam.

The automated exam tests mark the students’ performance and give their results instantly. Four of the five modules are now tested this way.

The remaining module of the course will be assessed using paper based multiple-choice tests supplied by NCC Education.

Faster Student Registration

Together the changes will result in the faster processing of student registrations and final grades. NCC will now process all candidate applications and marks within two weeks.

Greater Flexibility

The simplification of these processes also means that learners can now register for ICCS at anytime of the year.

Rajinder Singh, the Executive Director of PurpleTrain.com commented: “These changes are just timely in meeting the expectation of today’s learners and market demands. We are expecting an increase in demand from learners wanting to register for the programme as a result of these updates.”

It is time to move on. If you are a non-IT professional wanting a career change, the ICCS Version 2.0 is just the right course for you.
