NCC International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies Launches Version 2.0

We are pleased to announce that NCC International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS) is now available in Version 2.0.

This development is in line with PurpleTrain's continuous quest to offer the latest modules to our students in order to stay relevant in today's fast changing market. This has been made possible through the strong partnership we have with NCC Education, who shares our vision in helping our students achieve academic excellence.

IADCS Version 2.0 maintains its international standard, but the new syllabus will equip you with the knowledge to meet specific local market requirements.

Who Will It Affect?
* Exisiting IADCS students will not be affected by this change. However, if you have not completed your course by December 2002, you will be automatically transferred to IADCS V2.0.

* Newly registered IADCS students will be automatically enrolled into IADCS V2.0.

Programme Structure
This fully modular course consists of 8 modules (4 compulsory and 4 elective) and a six-month practical project.

Business Systems Design
Enterprise Networking
Database Design and Development

Elective Modul s (choose any 4)

Advanced Programming Major
C++ Programming
Advanced Java
Advanced VB

Internet Systems Major (under developement)
Internet & Intranet Security
Internet Systems Administration

Business Management Major
Business Management
Managing Business Projects

To major in a particular topic, students have to select and pass two or more modules from the same topic. Students may choose to major in more than one topic.

For student with major(s), the advanced diploma will be endorsed "Majoring in topic".

Credit Transfer
If you are transferring to the new syllabus, you may transfer credits for some equivalent units. Please be advised that this is dependent on your passing both the examination and assignment elements of these units.

Please be advised that under the new programme, there will be no transfer of credit for the following modules:
* Advanced Java
* Advanced VB
* Internet & Intranet Security
* Internet Systems Administration
