The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one of the world's foremost technology institutes, will be offering all the materials on its existing coursework over the Internet for FREE.
The launch of this great initiative by MIT, called OpencourseWare or OCW, will go live on September 30th 2002 with virtual library resoures on subjects such as computer science, chemistry, biology and anthropology.
Over time, MIT plans to upload thousands of pages of information, hours of streaming video lectures, seminars
and experiments for learners around the globe.
