More graduates give
their affirmation of e-Learning!

Congratulations go out to more of our PurpleTrain University of Portsmouth (UOP) graduates on their recent achievements! After an interview done with some of the graduates, many loved getting their education through e-Learning! Their responses all reveal that e-Learning provides maximum flexibility to any student that has had to juggle working life with study time. In their responses, you will also find that many students have found the tips and suggestions offered via discussion rooms, chat rooms or bulletin boards by facilitators useful.

Here are some of the unedited responses from several of our beaming graduates on what they thought of e-Learning.

Mr PY Terng, UOP 2nd Class Honours graduate on why he chose e-Learning: "The advantage that I found was that I could make my own study schedule plus I was still able to pursue my education even when I was travelling, all I needed was an Internet connection."

On why he chose this course:
"I was looking for a program that allowed me to get an IT academic certification in the short time. Finally, I found UOP program from PurpleTrain which allows me to do so, and I have proven that I am able to do complete my study within 1 and half year time, without re-sitting any papers!"

Mr Yeap Peng Teng, Senior Software Technician with Dell Asia Pacific, another fellow graduate with irregular working hours had this to say about his e-Learning experience through PurpleTrain: "The time for learning is flexible, I can learn and study from anywhere"

On the course facilitators:
"The response from facilitator is very fast, information is clear, and they are professional all the time."

On whether he would recommend his friends/families/colleagues to take up a PurpleTrain course: "Yes, I like to share my experience of this course with them."

Mr Tan Jwu Jiun, UOP graduate with two degrees, on how he overcame his initial difficulty: "I had some difficulty with the scope of study but the facilitators helped to narrow it down to be feasible."

On how e-Learning through PurpleTrain has given him some benefits:
"I managed to apply the knowledge I gained in the working environment"

Liang WinCei, Systems Engineer based in Selangor, Malaysia on how he appreciated the help from facilitators:
"When I have difficulties, mostly, I seek the assistance of the facilitators and they provide me with prompt and accurate reply."

When asked if he would recommend your friends/families/colleagues/neighbours to take up UOP BSc(Hons) in Computing:
"Yes, because this course is useful and flexible especially for working adults."

When asked how e-learning through PurpleTrain.com has affected his life and whether he has benefited from e-Learning:
"I realised that e-learning is not much in different with conventional learning process as I can still access the notes and messages from facilitators even after some time."

Another student Goh Kee Hong, was asked what he liked most about e-Learning through PurpleTrain?

"Freedom to plan how to study, when to study and where to study. One benefit of e-learning is that less time is wasted on traveling from office or home to classroom. I can log in at home or office to look at the lecture notes and the discussion board. I can arrange with my course mate to have a group discussion during the weekend (when I do not need to work). For classroom-based system, I do not have this kind of freedom."

As we have highlighted in an earlier news release, graduates had a lot of good things to say about e-Learning. We will continue to publish their comments as and when we receive it. Once again, we congratulate all PurpleTrain graduates for their perseverance and for blazing a trail for others to follow.
