Batam Kicks off with a Bang - PurpleTrain.com License
In Batam, PurpleTrain.com kicks off with a bang. Launched together with PT Pasada Artha Karya (PTPAK) on July 2003, its vision is to become the training partner of choice in Batam. The turnout for its events, seminars and road shows has been tremendous. Procuring excellent support from business partners, corporate members, it is well-received by the general public.
A seminar, aptly named 'A New Era of Corporate Learning' was held at BBC (BatamIndo Business Council) on 7 November. 28 corporate members, mainly training managers of the tenants of BatamIndo attended the seminar to know more about e-Learning as the new age corporate training tool. The concept of e-Learning got the attendees greatly interested. 'Everyone seems so excited about e-Learning, it is going to be the best tool for corporate training,' said Mr Thomas Poh, invited speaker cum consultant.
The seminar on e-Learning, 'The Gateway to International Qualification' was held at Melia Panorama Hotel on 17 November. 23 members of the general public attended the seminar. The seminar proves to be an excellent platform for the attendees to have all their enquiries answered; clearing all their doubts gives them a better idea of using e-Learning as their gateway to international qualification.
Held at one of the biggest shopping mall in Muka Kuning, the road show at Panbil Mall from 22-24 November attracted a consistent crowd from shoppers and the nearby BatamIndo Industrial Park. Throughout the day, all the course consultants were busy engaging in consultation, explaining the benefits of e-Learning and courses offered by PurpleTrain.com. 'The turnout was better than anticipated. The number of follow ups required was definitely encouraging,' said Mr. Poh.
E-learning enables students to overcome all barriers, especially time constraint and geographical distance, to pursue their goals in continuous learning. It has been anticipated that e-Learning adoption will surge as more people know about its benefits. 'I am confident that e-Learning adoption will experience a great growth within the next one year. IDC expects e-Learning adoption in the Asia/ Pacific region to experience the greatest growth from 2004-2005.
