About the Programme
Master of Science in Strategic Business Information Technology (MSc SBIT) is a continual education from Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (PgD SBIT) offer by NCC Education. This programme provides a thorough knowledge of IT in business, strategy and management. There is a strong IT theme running throughout the course and an opportunity to build on existing technical competencies, in networking, to an advanced level. The programme focuses on four main skill-sets:
- Academic skills at post-degree level
- Task management skills
- Business strategy skills
- Advanced technology skills
It is ideal for:
- Individuals who wish to build on their existing IT skills whilst being introduced to a range of business and management issues so as to equip them with relevant skills and knowledge to undertake responsibilities.
- IT personnel who wish to enhance their career opportunities specifically in the areas of Management and Strategic Business Analysis.
Objectives
The learning outcome of the programme is to equip the student with the necessary abilities to analyse the complex and interacting issues of a real world domain, to identify and be capable of analysis of alternative approaches to addressing these issues, and to select the most appropriate approach on the basis of experience and disciplined thought.

Structure
This programme has 2 stages. Students need to complete 4 modules in PgD SBIT by NCC Education before they can do the top up of 2 modules from UOP to be awarded a MSc SBIT.
*Candidates will only proceed to the MSc SBIT upon successful completion of the PgD SBIT

Duration
This programme can be completed in 18 months minimum or to a maximum of 3 years.
Each module is conducted over 7 weeks. There are 3 semesters per academic year, which are April, August and December.
Assessment Method
There are no examinations for all the modules. Students will be assessed entirely on coursework set according to the module learning objectives.
