PurpleTrain recognises top achievers in Award Ceremony

PurpleTrain.com recognised top talents in the e-Learning industry in an Award Ceremony held at Informatics Headquarters, International Business Park on February 14th 2003. The awards given out were for Best Sales Rookie, Best Sales Representative, Best Online Facilitator in Business, Best Online Facilitator in IT. Feb 14th was a special day for Mr Vincent Ong as he was receiving his Best Sales Rookie award from the Chairman of Informatics Holdings, Dr Wong Tai. When asked what his secret of success was, he humbly disclosed his "golden rule to success" is to always remain positive, focus, networking and good PR skills.

What motivates Vincent do put in his best?
The factors that motivate me are career advancement and job satisfaction. Job satisfaction comes from the fact that students benefit from e-learning which helps them to upgrade even with a tight schedule. I feel that I'm doing a good deed and it is something that the students eventually will benefit from.

His thoughts on e-learning?
Well, it is definitely something innovative. A new mode of learning which takes away the disadvantages of a conventional class. It provides an alternative way for students that I believe will be the next IN-THING in the education industry.

What does he see as the future of e-learning?
I believe that in the future, everyone will accept the concept in e-Learning. Who knows, the future generation might not even have to attend conventional classes anymore, as parents, you will only need to monitor your children at home and make sure they participate in class. E-learning will be a new hype in Singapore in the future.

What he have to say for those who are still hesitating on e-learning?
I feel that Singapore is heading towards being technology and those people who are still hesitating, it's time to wake up and face reality. Dinosaurs are extinct due to their unchanged mindset, if we don't keep up with technology, we will probably end up just like them. As technology evolves, so does education. To put it simply, for those who still have doubts, PUT them aside and ride the wave of e-Learning with PurpleTrain!

Who should sign up for e-Learning in his opinion?
Everyone should sign up with e-learning. There is no limitation and anybody who wants to upgrade should consider it.

What else does he wish to add?
Firstly, his direct boss, Samuel Kwok (ASM) who has always been understanding and patient. His 'never say die' attitude motivates him to move ahead. Next on the list is Thomas, who is always there to guide him and giving him precious advice. He feels thankful to the Sales Managers who have helped me, namely Patrick, Nicholas and Devan. Last but not least, my dearest teammates who always believed in me, giving me support and guidance.

Another happy recipient for Best Sales Representative Award goes to Miss Tiffany Lee of Malaysia. Her golden tips for success is to be Hardworking, have a Never-Say-Die attitude and feel confident.

What motivates Tiffany to put in her best?
Her answer was simple, it was plain old MONEY!

Her thoughts on e-learning?
Its getting more popular in the market as many students realise the benefits of e-Learning.

How does she see herself in the next 3 months?
She wants to do better in her selling and marketing technique as well as be more result oriented

What does she have to say for those who are still hesitating on e-learning?
She feels that this person should open up their minds and broaden their outlook by trying out on e-Learning as a viable form of getting an education.

In your opinion, who should sign up for e-learning?
All working professionals are able to enjoy the flexibility, the ease of pursuing their higher education dreams through e-Learning. In addition, they can be reassured that PurpleTrain is the largest e-Learning service provider in Asia.
