You can get a well-recognised degree through e-Learning

Many
students would be anxious to know certain pertinent information before
enrolling in any university programme, for example, how the university
is ranked or how well the courses are ranked. Students should bear in
mind that these rankings should only be used an approximate guide in the
decision making process of choosing a university.
According to CareerDynamo.com, that conducted a ranking exercise, they
have come up with a listing of top 40 schools. As mentioned on their web
site, they carried out some research into UK schools. The study focused
on what the relative reputations of schools were across the UK. This meant
not just the top programmes but also the good national schools as well.
Their research included recruiters (in house and agency) and MBA graduates
and candidates.
As a cautionary note, the research on schools only give a guide to the
reputation of schools. It does not suggest that towards the bottom of
the table are "bad", quite the opposite. In the UK alone, there
are nearly 100 institutions offering MBAs and BBAs , often in a number
of different formats (part time, full time, distance learning, modular,
specialist MBAs in marketing, finance, etc). Therefore the total number
of MBAs and BBAs in the UK alone is in the hundreds.
The ranking research covers the top 40 schools in the UK. All of these
schools, therefore are in the top half of all UK providers. The list of
all the schools offering MBAs in the UK also highlights the top 40 MBA
schools in the UK.
The good news for PurpleTrain students and graduates is that University
of Wales, Aberystwyth and University of Portsmouth ranks among the top
40 schools in the list.

Is being in a Top-20 MBA Programme going to make a difference?
And so the debate rages on. It seems to indicate that a top MBA programme
does matter is you are intending to launch into a management consulting
or investment banking career, where the competition for MBA's is most
heated. The main reason to go to a top ranked school isn't necessarily
the strength of the curriculum. The top 10 programs are arguably tougher
than say the 50 - 60 ranked programs.
The true value is brand name and connections.
The social and business networks you gain from these top schools are
easily worth the tuition. After two years of shared project angst and
coffee-laced all-nighters, it's often easy to reconnect with good friends
or even acquaintances from your MBA days with a simple email or phone
call. The bond created through the alumnus is a wonderful, mystical thing,
especially where the sense of belonging to an elite group such as a top-ranked
school is strong.
Employers these days do give more weight to your experience than to your
degree, but they're still more likely to favour people they know. The
Harvard MBA network is a very impressive example of how productive a branded
network can be for graduates. When recruiters screen resumes, it proves
to be a good point if they recognise you as an alumnus. Employers will
assume, with some justification, that someone who managed to get into
an elite school (and pay the tuition, to boot) is ambitious, intelligent,
and motivated. Further to this, many of your old buddies would probably
be at senior positions in major companies 10-15 years post graduation.
Now, who says you can't reap the rewards of going to a good school?
