The University only gives out 50 awards annually and Ruxun was one out of only six in Singapore, and eight in Asia, to be awarded this award for the 2003 round. Ruxun received his award from Dr. Richard W. Ferrin in a presentation ceremony in Singapore.
Ruxun is currently a student of the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and is considering continuing with his Master's degree in a few years. He humbly says that he didn't expect to receive this award and it came as a pleasant surprise.
